Monaghan LEADER programme is open and are inviting Expression of Interests for community projects that support the provision and upgrading of community recreational facilities and infrastructure to facilitate better access and use of facilities in their community. Typical types of projects envisaged include; walking and running tracks, playgrounds, outdoor gym equipment and multi-purpose playing pitches. Further information on the call
Friday 3rd Feb is Feast of St. Blaise. Throats will be blessed during 10am Mass and a blessing will also take place at 3pm in St. Joseph’s church
The theme for Catholic Schools Week this year is Catholic Schools: Learning with Pope Francis to Care for Our Common Home. It is hoped that this theme will help schools to gain an understanding of the Pope’s encyclical letter Laudato Si’. On the death of Mrs Mona Donnelly, Magheross Branch, and St Josephs Young Priest Society send condolences to all her family. Mona was a lifelong and active member of the Society.
