150 year Celebrations This Sunday 7th August 2016,
the people of Carrickmacross and the entire South-
Monaghan parish of Machaire Rois will celebrate the one
hundred and fiftieth anniversary of their beautiful parish
church of St Joseph’s, dedicated in 1866. The highpoint of
the anniversary will be the celebration of the Sacrament
of Eucharist – a Mass of Thanksgiving at

The Clogher  iCatholic Channel. In keeping with up to date means of communications, the diocese now has a channel on iCatholic.ie.  It is equivalent of the RTE player or BBC iPlayer for the Irish Church. Recently, Bishop Liam MacDaid recorded a message to young people concerning Vocations via the channel and it also features interviews with newly-ordained priest

  In excess of two million people from all over the world are expected to attend World Youth Day (WYD), July 26-31, in Krakow, Poland. Over 50 young people from the Diocese   of Clogher are attending World Youth Day.

Fr Ivin Church Building Please pray for work to progress through the rainy season to have roof on by year end. This is the first Catholic church in the first Catholic Parish in a vast area. The next planning meeting for the celebrations to mark 150 years of worship in St. Joseph’s Church  takes place on July 27 at 8 pm. Venue Teach Ui Bhriain.  If you would like to help on the evening of August 7, especially with welcoming visitors or serving refreshments, please come to the meeting on July 27.

New publications: A new

Clogher Lourdes Pilgrimage A meeting has been organised on Tuesday June 28^th at 8pm in the Four Seasons Hotel Monaghan for all who are booked on the Clogher Lourdes Pilgrimage which departs on July 6^th 2016. Travel documents will be distributed at this meeting. Final arrangements will be discussed and the meeting will provide an opportunity to meet

Welcome to the Schola Cantorum of Santa Fe. We in Carrickmacross are delighted to welcome, from the American Southwest, the Schola Cantorum of Santa Fe.
