The Annual Service of Remembrance Ceremony,
We would like to invite you and family members to join in the annual Service of Remembrance Ceremony, when we as a faith community can come together to remember your loved one, who died during the year. The Covid 19 pandemic has enormously restricted the traditional customs of our community and the rituals of our church and added significantly to our sense of loss as our grieving has been so incomplete as our loneliness and isolation has increased.
This Service will take place This Sunday 21st November 2021 in St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross at 5.00pm.
A candle will be lit in memory of your deceased family member and this will be available for collection following the Service. You may wish to light this candle in your home on special family occasions, remembering you’re deceased.
A bouquet of flowers will be placed at the foot of The Our Lady Statue in remembrance of all those who have died throughout the year.
(Please note there will be no individual placement of a flower in the basket this year)
