Important Notice Revised Guidelines

Important Notice :

Due to the current COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, and in accordance with Government guidelines, and with new Diocesan Norms introduced by Bishop Duffy, the following take place with immediate effect:

Bishop Duffy says that he is ‘saddened to have to take this course of action, but in the prevailing circumstances and to protect the lives, health and wellbeing of all’, he had no other option but to put these measures in place. He adds that that they highlight once again the commitment of the Church in playing its part in fighting the Coronavirus while at the same time showing solidarity with those who are suffering from it.

Daily Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph’s church, Carrickmacross, at 10am Monday to Saturday, with Sunday Mass celebrated at 12 noon. These celebrations will take place without a congregation present. People may tune into the celebration of Mass in St. Joseph’s at these times via the webcam live streaming www.carrickmacrossparish.ie or www.mcnmedia.tv or on the parish radio broadcast on (92.1 FM) and make a spiritual Communion by inviting Jesus to come into your heart and soul.

There will be NO celebration of the Mass in St John the Evangelist Church, Raferagh, or in St. Michael’s Church, Corduff, until further notice. All Mass intentions scheduled for any given day will be united together and offered up in the one broadcast Mass scheduled for that day.( See intentions)

St Joseph’s church will be closed to the public during Eucharistic celebrations, but will remain open at all other times for private prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle.
